East West Model
School, Talit, Burdwan, established in 1997, is an English Medium School conducted
by the Founding Body called East West Model School Educational Society, presided by Dr. Susanta Kumar Das. Dr. Das received able assistance and support from
the then district administration for this noble cause. The
foundation stone of the school was laid by Prof. Dr. Johan Deisenhofer of Texas University, a Nobel Laureate, on 2nd January 1996. Dr. Das says, "The school's motto includes
giving equal opportunity to the children of all societies to study and excel
themselves without any prejudices, to become responsible citizens of the country in a congenial environment of an English Medium School."
